Sarah Mann
NATUROPATH - HERBALIST - TEACHER
Sarah is a respected Australian naturopath and herbalist recognised for her deep attunement to people and nature, and her distinctive approach to healing. She brings together the clinical clarity of modern Naturopathic medicine with the wisdom of Anthroposophic medicine - a way of understanding healing that includes the individuality of each person and the patterns of nature itself. Her practice is sought after by clients across many countries who come to her for her deep knowledge of medicinal plants, herbalism, nutrition, and her specialisation in Anthroposophic medicine.
The Journey
Sarah devoted ten years to studying naturopathic medicine with leaders in the field, earning an Associate Degree of Clinical Science from Southern Cross University and an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies. In a time when naturopathic education had shifted away from direct plant study, she was fortunate to learn not only in lecture halls, libraries, and labs, but also directly with the living plants themselves.
Seeking a deeper understanding, she travelled to Germany and Switzerland for specialised postgraduate training in Anthroposophic Medicine. There she studied Goethean science, and immersed herself in the study of nature and the living patterns between plants, people, and healing. This was a turning point in her work and became the foundation of her distinctive approach.
The Practice
Sarah runs an online clinic and works with clients across multiple countries. She has a particular affinity for working with children, helping them feel at home in their bodies and in themselves. For all clients, she integrates herbal medicine, nutrition, and food as medicine with the remedies and perspectives of Anthroposophic Medicine, offering a depth of care that is both clinically rigorous and attuned to the individual.
Through her work, clients often discover it doesn't take a lot to make space for the restorative and healing forces of the body to emerge, even with chronic conditions or long-standing stress. She offers profound support for change, and works alongside doctors, pathologists, and specialists as an integral part of her clients health care network.
Teaching & Leadership
As a teacher and mentor, Sarah is known for her depth of knowledge and her clear, heartfelt way of guiding practitioners and students worldwide into deeper relationship with plants and with themselves. She created the well-known Herbal Infusions & Formulation Course, offering students a fundamental understanding of herbal medicine and confidence in the art of formulation. Her Plant Study Retreats provide immersive learning experiences in herbalism through perception and observation.
She co-created the Sensitive Kids Course with the global parenting movement, The Reconnected, supporting families to help sensitive children thrive in themselves and feel at home in the world.
Sarah co-established Community Herbal Care, a free, roaming community herbal clinic that served as part of the frontline response to the 2022 Northern Rivers floods in Australia. This groundbreaking work was honoured with the Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia's inaugural Community Award.
She was also instrumental in co-establishing the Anthroposophic Naturopaths Guild in Australia, which is shaping the development of Anthroposophic medicine in the Southern hemisphere.
She holds a distinguished position as one of only three trainers worldwide in Rebirthing Breathwork Mastery, leading professional training across Australia, Europe, and North America with the School of Breathwork.
Her insights on natural medicine have been featured in interviews, podcasts, and publications, where her perspective on integrated care and sensitivity in healing reaches audiences globally.
Sarah is passionate about continuing original methods of herbal investigation - important pathways of connection to nature that help people cultivate a deeper perception of the natural world. For her, this is an integral part of reciprocity between people and the land, and a thriving future together.
She founded the Deeper Nature Community as a sanctuary for the study of plants and for cultivating a deep and sustaining relationship with nature.
